DJ Koessler is the founder of Koessler Strategies and a trusted advisor to political candidates, causes, companies, and cultural influencers.

A seasoned Democratic strategist, DJ has spent his career at the intersection of politics, advocacy, and media. He led social media and digital rapid response for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign, worked on Hillary Clinton’s political and digital teams in 2016, and organized youth voters for Barack Obama in 2012.

He honed his skills at top impact agencies like Blue State and Pursuant before building and leading teams at Climate Power and Stand Up America. With 15 years of experience, DJ has advised Fortune 100 brands, shaped winning campaigns, and written for globally recognized politicians, entertainers, and athletes.

DJ holds a B.S. from Grand Valley State University and an M.S. from Columbia University, where he later returned as faculty in the strategic communication program. He lives in New York City.
